Frequently Asked Questions
Can you write grants for free?
Unfortunately our professional nonprofit grant writers can’t write grants for free. Grant writing is a skill, and one that our grant writers are compensated for. We have several services that fall under the umbrella of grant writing: creating materials, organizing information, and being a resource guide within the realm of grants that we are positive will be worth every penny and leave you in a better place than when you hired us.
Can you guarantee we will win a grant if we hire you?
We can’t make any guarantees about whether you will receive any funding, or how much, from these grant applications. Grant writing is part art, part strategy. Many foundations prioritize building relationships with the organizations they fund, so you may not get funded the first or second time you apply. No grant writer can guarantee funding, but a good grant writer, over time, can improve your effectiveness and boost your odds of success.
Can we pay you a commission based on whether we win the grant?
Grant writing professional ethics guide against commission based fee structures. Beyond that, commission based structures aren’t the best option for your nonprofit’s health, or for the grant writer. We have provided a range of services based on different budgets. Please reach out to us to discuss your specific needs with the budget you have available for professional grant writing services.
What kind of grants do you specialize in?
We specialize in all kinds of grants including foundation, corporate, municipal and federal grants.
What is your success rate?
Most professional grant writers don’t track success rate because there are so many different variables. Grant writing is competitive, and we don’t have any control over who funders offer their grants to. We seek excellence in what we can control, which is providing the best deliverables we can. We have strong relationships with our nonprofit clients and a track record of consistent service that we are proud of.
